There is an opening in Barkley Sound for Sockeye this week (June 20th and 21st) the post will be updated as soon as we know if anyone is bringing fresh sockeye back to sell.
There is fresh sockeye for sale from the westcoast of the island! Steve Ordano will be selling whole fish on Finger 2 today from 9 am till sold out! $4 a pound, come on down and get the first salmon of the year!
NOTICE! The Department of Fisheries and Oceans has issued a PSP (Paralytic Shellfish Poison) alert for areas near Campbell River. The closures are centered on the East side of Quadra Island, Read Island, Hoskins Channel and other areas in the neighbourhood.
